Wedding Update: 24 days!

I just realized I really haven't been updating my blog about the planning of my cousins wedding, we are getting so close! I feel like just yesterday she was getting engaged, it's nuts how time flies...

The final touches are definitely getting under way, I've been sending her updates every week to ask her how she's doing and what she needs help with and just to make sure things are getting done and not forgotten about. With 3 1/2 weeks remaining, here's what were working on getting accomplished...

*The groomsmen need their tuxes (some have been fitted, others have not). When you have a large wedding party (bigger than 4) you definitely want to make sure you're ahead of the game on picking out tuxes and bridesmaids dresses, make sure you're bugging them about getting fitted up to 6 weeks before the wedding.

*The RSVP's are all in call those who haven't RSVP'd. A few weeks before your wedding make sure you've contacted everyone who hasn't RSVP'd, the last thing you want is random guests arriving without food to eat.

*Finish the place cards. Make them cute, be crafty, this is the easiest way to spice up your wedding.

*Finish your seating chart and give the numbers/names to the venue coordinator.

*Meet with the DJ to discuss the flow of your wedding and what songs you do and don't want played. Do you want a father-daughter dance, do you want a dollar dance, etc?

In the final weeks before the wedding give yourself tasks each day to accomplish so it doesn't get overwhelming. I always encourage every bride to ask for help. 4 weeks from now I'll have pictures, and a blog about Stef's Houston wedding, it cannot come soon enough!
